Visit Miraikan or another suitable science museum, subject to opening. Explore interactive exhibits. Free evening. Overnight: Tokyo.

Day 4Theme park day

Spend the day at Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea, according to family preference. Return to the hotel after the park visit. Overnight: Tokyo.

Day 5Tokyo leisure

Visit Ueno Park, a suitable museum or another child-friendly attraction. Enjoy free time for shopping. Overnight: Tokyo.

Day 6Tokyo to Kyoto

Travel by Shinkansen bullet train. Hotel check-in. Explore the local area. Overnight: Kyoto.

Day 7Kyoto cultural experiences

Visit Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. Explore selected heritage streets and temples. Optional family-friendly Japanese cultural activity. Overnight: Kyoto.

Day 8Kyoto to Osaka

Transfer to Osaka. Visit Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan or another selected attraction. Explore Dotonbori in the evening. Overnight: Osaka.

Day 9Osaka theme park or leisure

Spend the day at Universal Studios Japan, subject to tickets and park schedules. Alternatively, choose Osaka Castle Park and a relaxed city day. Overnight: Osaka.
