Arrive at Guwahati Airport or railway station. Meet the driver and proceed towards Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya. Stop at Umiam Lake, a scenic reservoir surrounded by hills, if time and weather permit. Enjoy photography and refreshments at suitable viewpoints. Continue to Shillong and check in to the hotel. Spend the evening exploring Police Bazaar, a popular shopping and dining area. Return to the hotel. Overnight: Shillong.

Have breakfast at the hotel. Visit Elephant Falls, a well-known waterfall surrounded by greenery. Proceed to Shillong Peak if open and accessible, subject to local restrictions and weather. Visit Ward's Lake, a landscaped lake suitable for a relaxed walk. Explore the local market and handicraft shops. Depending on the available time, visit a museum or cultural attraction. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight: Shillong.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Cherrapunji, famous for heavy rainfall, waterfalls, limestone caves and dramatic valley views. Visit Nohkalikai Falls viewpoint, subject to visibility and weather conditions. Continue to Seven Sisters Falls if water flow and visibility make the viewpoint worthwhile. Visit Mawsmai Cave, subject to opening hours and visitor access. Stop at selected viewpoints along the route. Check in to the hotel in Cherrapunji. Spend the evening at leisure. Overnight: Cherrapunji.

Have breakfast and choose the day's sightseeing according to fitness, road conditions and travel preferences. One option is to visit the living root bridge area near Nongriat. This involves a substantial trek with many steps and requires suitable footwear and fitness. Alternatively, plan a longer excursion towards Mawlynnong and Dawki, known for village scenery and the Umngot River. Boating on the river may be arranged locally, subject to water conditions, safety and availability. Return to Shillong or stay in the Cherrapunji area, depending on the final hotel arrangement. Overnight: Shillong or Cherrapunji, as specified in the quotation.

Enjoy breakfast and check out. Drive to Guwahati. Visit Kamakhya Temple, one of the region's important pilgrimage destinations, subject to queue times, temple access and visitor requirements. Explore local markets or the Brahmaputra riverfront if time permits. Optional river cruise arrangements can be made separately, subject to schedule and availability. Check in to the hotel. Overnight: Guwahati.
