About this experience

An overnight trip from Leh to Nubra Valley, crossing Khardung La, one of the world's highest motorable passes, to a valley of sand dunes, Bactrian camels and the Diskit Monastery.

Like Pangong, this needs prior acclimatisation in Leh; the two excursions are sometimes combined into a longer loop.

What to expect

   Drive to Nubra

   Cross Khardung La en route to Nubra Valley.

   Hunder dunes

   Time at the sand dunes, with an optional camel ride.

   Diskit Monastery

   Visit the monastery and its giant Buddha statue.

• Acclimatise in Leh for at least a day or two before this excursion
• An Inner Line Permit is required and arranged as part of your quote
